NEAVS President, Dr. Theo Capaldo, attended a special screening of the upcoming HBO documentary, Project Nim, produced by Simon Chinn, directed by Oscar-winner James Marsh, and based on the book The Chimp Who Would be Human by Elizabeth Hess. NEAVS was invited by Bob Ingersoll, director of Mindy’s Memory, a sanctuary for monkeys. Ingersoll played a major role in Nim’s life from the day he was abandoned by the research project on which the film focuses to the day he died. Ingersoll along with other people featured in the film led a Q&A when the film was over.

Avant-première du documentaire Project NIM
La Dr. Theo Capaldo, présidente de la NEAVS, a assisté récemment à l’avant-première du documentaire Project NIM de la chaîne HBO, une production de Simon Chinn dirigée par James Marsh, lauréat d’un Oscar, et inspirée du livre d’Elizabeth Hess, The Chimp Who Would be Human. La NEAVS a été invitée par l’entremise de Bob Ingersoll, directeur du sanctuaire pour singes Mindy’s Memory. M. Ingersoll fait partie de ceux qui se sont occupés de Nim jusqu’à la fin de ses jours, après qu’il ait été abandonné par les responsables du projet de recherche qui fait l’objet de ce documentaire. M. Ingersoll a d’ailleurs participé à la période de questions qui a suivi la présentation du film.
